Admin Biographical HistoryThe National League of Young Liberals (often just called the Young Liberals) was part of the Liberal Party and was founded in 1903.
The Union of Liberal Students (ULS) was the English and Welsh student wing of the Liberal Party.
In 1988, the Liberal Democrats were formed.
In 1993, the Union of Liberal Democrat Students and Young Liberal Democrats merged to form Liberal Democrat Youth and Students (LDYS).
In 2002, Scottish Young Liberal Democrats merged with LDYS.
LDYS changed its name to Liberal Youth in 2008.

Papers of Ruth Coleman mainly relating to the Young Liberals and Liberal Students, 1970s-1994.
